December’s biggest books
When December rolls around, we tend to spend the last month of the year reflecting on the year’s best books. Last month saw some mega-bestsellers hit bookshelves, but the year’s not over yet. There are more big books coming our way including the latest from Cormac McCarthy, the first ever authorized biography of the most famous movie star of the 20th century, a new release from the author of last year’s irresistible debut, The Ballerinas, and much more.
As much of the world re-opened and returned to normal this year, those in publishing wondered if the pandemic, which inspired a return to reading for many, would continue. But reading remains on the rise and 2022 proved to be one for the books with thrilling debuts and much-anticipated returns from prolific authors.
