The Irish GoodbyeThe Irish Goodbye by Heather Aimee O’Neill
🎧 Audiobook

In this debut, three sisters return to their childhood home for Thanksgiving, and secrets rapidly emerge once they step foot inside.

From Jenna: "They return for a Thanksgiving weekend to all be under one roof, and just as families know better than anybody, old patterns come out. We find out about a tragedy that has left these sisters reeling, but it also is full of love and hope and humor."

More about Jenna

Jenna’s love for books started early—and it certainly didn’t hurt to have a librarian for a mom. Laura Bush, a former librarian and lifelong champion of literacy, was a prominent supporter for libraries. Her passion for promoting reading and education inspired many, and that dedication runs deep in the Bush family. Jenna’s grandmother, Barbara Bush, furthered this legacy by founding the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy, believing that literacy is the key to strengthening families and communities. Jenna also has fond memories of reading with her namesake grandmother, Jenna Hawkins Welch, who nurtured her passion for reading.

A champion of literacy herself, Jenna has partnered with the Collaborative Summer Library Program as the 2023 Summer Reading Champion, creating a summer reading list for young readers, a Read with Jenna Jr. list, designed to appeal to elementary schoolers up to teens.

“Libraries are the heartbeats of our communities! They offer connection, opportunity, and a safe space for everyone. And none of that happens without the heart of it all, librarians.

That’s why I’m so excited for readers to find a curated list of our Read with Jenna book club picks right in the Libby app, ready to borrow from your local library, for free.

Books have the incredible power to change hearts and minds and now, thanks to Libby, they’re just a tap away for readers everywhere."

-Jenna Bush Hager
