June 2026’s biggest books

Am I the only one or is the year absolutely flying by? Suddenly it’s summer and that means beach reads, audiobooks, and hopefully, lots of time for leisure reading. 

As a busy parent, I’ve been enjoying audiobooks all year round but they seem especially fitting during June's Audiobook Month and the crazy days of summer. I’m eager to listen to several blockbuster releases in my two favorite genres, romance and mystery, with Harvest Season by Brynne Weaver, Tropesick by Lauren Okie, It Could Have Been Her by Lisa Jewell, and The Someday Garden by Ashley Poston.

For readers looking for literary heavy hitters, you’re in luck. Ann Patchett brings us Whistler, Lisa See transports readers in Daughters of the Sun and Moon, and Maggie O’Farrell’s newest release, Land, are sure to make you feel all the feels.

Fantasy readers can return to the world of Rachel Schneider’s Fire & Metal duology with Light Wielder or pick up Katee Robert’s tenth installment in the popular Dark Olympus series in Shattered Gods.
