August 2025’s biggest books
If you’re in the Northern Hemisphere, you’ve arrived at the part of summer that starts to slog. It’s hot. The kids are restless. It feels like forever since you’ve had a break (especially from those aforementioned kids). Time to hop into a pool or into the air conditioning and crack open a cold book (only if it’s super scary and you’ve had to pull it out of the freezer)!
Remember, August is an unofficial restart and reset of the year—the January of the summer—and we can take this time to reflect on how the year’s been going. It might be the perfect time to pick up a celebrity memoir to see how the lifestyles of our favorite stars can be so different than our own!
Take advantage of these last few (ever shortening) long days and finish a favorite trilogy, start a new one, or maybe even invite a few people over to share an easy meal.
So, let’s all kick back, chill out, and try not to think too hard about how school is almost back in session with all of these great, new reads for August! Borrow the ebook or audiobook for free from your library on the Libby app.
