I have a confession to make: I'm a Disney adult. What's a Disney adult, you might ask? We're grown-ups who love all things Disney, from the movies to the parks to merch and more. At any given moment, you might see me walking around with a Minnie Mouse t-shirt on, drinking out of my water bottle covered in stickers from my favorite movies or cooking in my kitchen with a toque-wearing Remy watching over me (stuffed, not a real rat!).

I also recently returned from Disneyland (!!!), and being the planner that I am, I found myself in need of lots of good information, from Disney travel guides to cookbooks, all in pursuit of the magic. The Libby app is a one-stop shop for all of these!

If you don’t think that this book was sitting on my end table in my living room for MONTHS as I was getting ready to go then you don’t know me very well (which makes sense, as over 99% of you reading this have never, and probably never will meet me!).

This guide has all that you need to plan your trip, from hotel reviews to step-by-step guides to maximize your day at the park, depending on what you're looking to get out of your trip. For me, traveling to Disneyland for the first time with my 4-year-old, the advice in there about taking young kids was truly invaluable. And, since I was able to also check this out on Libby, I didn’t have to take the book with me to carry around the park, just my Libby app on my phone!

It's truly an immersive experience that must be seen to truly know, and even my Star Wars-apathetic husband was floored the first time we walked into the bazaar in Batuu. Also, the blue milk is better than the green, and both are plant-based!

Going to a theme park can be overwhelming for kids. There are a lot of people, things to look at, lots of sounds and the rides themselves can be a bit daunting or scary. For all kids, whether or not you think that they'll need it, exposure to the park prior through ride POV videos, talking about what to expect and what to do if you get separated and trying to have them be as much a part of the planning is key. One way that I’ve found to make ride exposure fun both before and after your trip is through the Little Golden Books Disney ride series!

Join our friends as they cruise through the jungle with their skipper and see all the sights and sounds from this opening day ride. Laugh (and sometime groan) at all of the puns that our trusty skipper tells us as you glide down the river. Pay extra attention when you pass Schweitzer Falls! This series has books about many classic Disney rides, such as Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Haunted Mansion and more, and they are all favorites in our house!

Delicious Disney by Pam Brandon

So you’ve returned from your amazing Disney vacation, and you find yourself missing so many things, including that one big thing that Disney is known for...food! Yes, you know the Mickey-shaped pretzels, Mickey-shaped waffles and (hopefully) non-Mickey-shaped turkey legs, but Disney is also a place where you can get an amazing meal, sometimes with a visit from some of your favorite Disney characters. This book can help you recreate some of that magic in your home kitchen.

As a Disney adult and cookbook fanatic, this book really checks all of my boxes. In addition to dozens of great recipes with beautiful photography, it also delves into the history of food, restaurants and hospitality at Disney. The recipes span the first 50 years of Walt Disney World, and highlight favorites of yesteryear, along with food that's still popular today. Yes, this cookbook is on my shelf right now, and I think my household’s favorite dish from it so far is the cilantro coconut curry. Yum!

What can I say? Disney's been magical to me my whole life, and I'm not ashamed to admit it!
