December 2024’s biggest books

Share:

As we close out the year, we naturally turn our attention to the year’s best books. But before you do, remember—there’s still a few books whose birthdays lie in the weeks ahead! Don’t they deserve a coveted spot on your TBR list? Or to get wrapped up with a bow under the Christmas tree?

These late-in-the-year releases might be just the thing to usher in a new year of reading.

A few highlights

With all that time cooped up at home for the holidays, this twisty domestic thriller might make you look at your loved ones twice. In What the Wife Knew (Dec. 10), a wife wonders who tried to kill her husband twice before finally succeeding... because that was supposed to be her job.

To heat up your holidays, check out Keep Me (Dec. 3) by Sara Cate that fellow romance author Helen Hoang called “super sexy and angsty."

Laugh your way into the new year with a swoon-worthy, full-cast rom-com with a fake marriage to boot in Know Your Newlywed by Heather Taylor (Dec. 10).

And for the youngest readers, Big Jim Begins (Dec. 3) is the latest in the Dog Man series by Dav Pilkey where we discover the origin of our beloved characters as they join forces to stop the Space Cuties from destroying the city.

Before you close the book on 2024, check out these brand-new releases in the Libby app. It’s the best Black Friday deal around—free from your local library!
