April 2024’s biggest books

Share:

It may be April Fool’s Day, but this month’s new releases are no joke. Love celeb memoirs? Got you. Already read Rebecca Yarros and Sarah J. Maas and want more fantasy? I see you, too. Want juicy never-before-shared secrets about the greatest band ever? Check. Feeling those pre-summer vibes and want a book to match? Order up. Is history your thing? Prepare to blast into the past. There’s even a sprinkle of library love this month from a bestselling powerhouse author packed with true stories from booksellers and librarians — the real superheroes of reading.

With all these great new reads, “book” your week ahead whether you’re traveling for spring break or staycationing at home. It happens to be perfect timing for me this week as I pack up the VW and head south for sunnier skies. A five-hour car trip there and back calls for at least a few audiobooks (2x speed, please). Plus, a book or two for those lazy mornings sipping coffee and catching up on some reading is a non-negotiable for this vacationer. Scratching a few books off my TBR not only gives me that hit of serotonin, but it’ll make room for all of these April books I’m adding to my list. (Good problems.)

📚 On hold? See what was on last April’s biggest books list to load your Libby app with books you might’ve missed—plus, they’re less likely to have a wait list.

☑️ Book available but you’re not ready to read? You can always choose to Deliver Later. Delivering the hold later preserves your hold on the title and passes the available copy to the next person in line.

*Title availability may vary by library & region.
